UPDATE.  Adonis has been adopted.  We keep his profile active for a short period to assure we have made the right match.  Effective immediately we are no longer accepting application.  Check back here for updates.

We bring every dog we place to meet an approved adopter for the home visit and meet and greet.  We do not place dogs at this time.  If there is going to be an adoption we return after the family prepares for their new companion.  We only will place Adonis within a one hour drive of Rockville MD.

11/14/23 Adonis just arrived.  Here is what we know now.

Neutered Male  (DOB: 10/29/2022)
52.8 lbs on 11/06/2023 , house-trained up-to-date with all vaccinations.

Adonis is a pure breed Chow Chow.  Look up the description and characteristics of a Chow Chow and you will see a description of Adonis.  He is good natured and typical of his breed.  He acted well when my other foster dog acted badly.  They are cohabitating well after a few hours.

Dogs listed here come from different sources Some dog's owner have passed and their family could not care for their companion, some lifestyle has changed and a new home would be in the best interest of their companion. Some are foster dogs placed in our care by different rescue groups.  Each dog may have a different process for adopting animals and charge different adoption fees.

Please complete the Application Short Form (link above)  Your information will be reviewed and you will be advised the next step.  If the dog you applied for is a match based on this information you will asked to provide Additional Information or directed to complete the Adoption Application from the Rescue Group that has placed the companion in our care.

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information.  We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.

We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions.  We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
