Clay is a 3 year old, 15 pound neutered male, shih Tzu / paillon mix, and up-to-date with all of his vaccination.

Clay has just been in his foster home two weeks we are getting to know who he is and what he needs. Clay is a young active playful dog suited for an active family.  He is a big dog in a tiny package.  He seems to do will with all dogs after a proper introduction.  He and our other foster dog took a few days to get settled.  We do not know if he can live with cats so we will NOT consider families with cats at this time.  He has done well around children but he should only live with a family were all members know and understand the boundaries of a tiny animal that can get fearful of being hurt.  We will only consider older children and there will be an extended home visit and meet and greet with Clay before moving forward.

We have received many applications and ruled out those that were not a good match for Clay. Please read his description before applying.   We screen all applications and will contact people in order of the best possible match for Clay.  Once an application been approved we will arrange to bring Clay to the adopter for a home visit and meet and greet and if another animal a sniff test.  Once we have found his perfect match there is an adoption agreement and an adoption donation.

Thank you for considering adopting Clay.  He is and has been very much in demand since he arrived.  There are many people that want him and only one of him to go around.  For us and him it is all about him and what is in the best interest for the rest of his lifetime.  Please understand. Thank you.
