Maverick has been placed in his new home.  We keep this profile active for a short period to make sure it is a good match.  We will NOT BE RESPONDING TO APPLICATIONS OR INQUIRIES AT THIS TIME

Maverick is a 5 year old mini golden / doodle.  He weighs around 21 pounds, is neutered, house-trained, and up-to-date with his vaccinations.  He is playful active and always looking for a toy to share with his people.  Maverick spent his entire life with his brother.  The sibling ravelry accelerated fights that caused visits to visits to the veterinarian. They had to be separated.  Maverick has been living with 2 older dogs.  He does have some resource guarding.  He may need to be an only dog or be with a family that knows how to deal with this behavior.

Maverick arrived in foster home noon on July 17, 2021.  He is getting to know us and we are getting to know him.  As you can imagine he is a little stressed out but he is finding his feet quickly.  He allowed his foster daddy to brush-out, bathe, blow-out and clip.  He was a good boy. 

*His hair is HIGH-MAINTENANCE and will require regular brushing.   He will require professional grooming every six or eight weeks.  He has proven to be cooperative to home grooming and his perfect family will be able to do some home grooming.  

*We will not be placing Maverick with children under the age 12. 

*At this time we are looking for him to have a fenced yard adequate to confine a 20 pound dog.

* We will not be placing Maverick in a home with a cat.

Dogs listed here come from different sources Some dog's owner have passed and their family could not care for their companion, some lifestyle has changed and a new home would be in the best interest of their companion. Some are foster dogs placed in our care by different rescue groups.  Each dog may have a different process for adopting animals and charge different adoption fees.

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information.  We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.

We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions.  We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
