JEFFERSON WAS PLACED IN HIS NEW HOME 7/12/2021. We keep his profile active for a short period to make sure it is his perfect lifetime home.

Jefferson the PUPPY born June 23, 2020, neutered, up-to-date with his shots, 43 pounds, and house-trained.  Don’t let his furrowed brow fool you Jefferson only appears to be pondering weighty matters.  He is just a one year old puppy with a statesman-like appearance. He is a bright, energetic, engaged, playful, happy-go-lucky puppy-dog.  Learning to walk on a leash was easy for him.  Every walk with him is an adventure.  He love to pick-up things like, mulch, sticks, and branches no matter the size. Good natured and a friend to all Jefferson is happy to meet people their dogs and their children.  Jefferson is an active, intelligent, attentive eager to please and willing to learn.  If you are looking for an active dog to go out and do everything with you this is your dog.

Jefferson would do best in a home with a good sized fenced yard adequate to confine him.  Because of his enthusiastic nature and the excitability of young children, Jefferson should be in a house-hold with children no younger than 10 years old.

Dogs listed here come from different sources Some dog's owner have passed and their family could not care for their companion, some lifestyle has changed and a new home would be in the best interest of their companion. Some are foster dogs placed in our care by different rescue groups.  Each dog may have a different process for adopting animals and charge different adoption fees.

Please complete the Application Short Form (link above)  Your information will be reviewed and you will be advised the next step.  If the dog you applied for is a match based on this information you will asked to provide Additional Information or directed to complete the Adoption Application from the Rescue Group that has placed the companion in our care.

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information.  We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.

We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions.  We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
