4/27/21 UPDATE

Lolly arrived at Home At Last Sanctuary, Inc, (HALS) November 25, 2020.  Lolly spent the last 5 years of her life with her family of 2 adult parents 3 adult daughters 1 grandchild, five other dogs and one cat.  One of the dogs was her bonded companion for the last 5 years.  It is unfortunate the other dog was not made available by her family when they surrendered her to HALS.  Lolly was the first dog, that we know of, out of 206 other foster dogs we had to recover a broken heart.   She has not been here this amount of time because no one wants here.  She is NOW totally recovered. She has directed all of her love to her foster daddy.  There is a very close connection and understanding.  It is NOW TIME for this love and attention Lolly has must be directed to her lifetime family.

Lolly was born around August 2014. She is about 93 pounds of solid dog.  She has been spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, house trained, and very sensitive sweet personality.

At this time we are looking for Lolly to be adopted either where there is an appropriately matched other dog or with another appropriately matched other dog.  She does love her human foster family.  She has lived in foster home with other very different dogs.  She seemed to be the most happy, and maybe a little annoyed, with the 8 month old puppy that stayed for a month.  She has been living with a couple of 11 year old dogs that were surrendered together.  Lolly really does not interact with them much.

Lolly loves to hang out on the sofa looking out the front window.  She like hanging on the patio and getting sun.  She has been walking lots for health.  It seemed that she was overweight when she came.  In fact she was 86.6 pounds and fat.  She is now 93 pounds and all muscle.  She had CCL, left knee, surgery in 2016.  She had challenges going down a flight of stairs when she came.  Her legs are much stronger now.  Continued exercise for the rest of her life is important.
