Suspected Breed(s): Shih Tzu
Gender: Female
Age: ~7 years old
Weight: 25.9 lbs. She is currently a bit overweight but working on weight loss.
Personality: Friendly, Affectionate, Quiet, Gentle, Calm, Smart, Easygoing, Snuggler, Shy
Observation with Dogs: Good with other dogs in general, but large dogs frighten her.
Observations with Cats: Unknown
Observations with Kids: Gia is very gentle with the kids in her foster home. She has also done well with kids in a past foster home (aged 10 and 11). She would likely do well in a home with children of any age given her calm demeanor.
House Training Progress: No accidents
Crate Training Progress: Gia does fine outside the crate. She is quiet and non-destructive. She loves her dog bed for nighttime.
Location: Foster home.

Additional Information: Gia is a dear girl! Gia was born to be someone’s pet and best friend! She is low-maintenance and as gentle as can be. She is one of the loveliest, most good-natured dogs CDR has ever seen! Like the easy life? Then Gia is the perfect match for you. Gia is a relaxed, laid back kind of dog who enjoys long naps, watching movies, going on car rides and curling up on laps! She likes short walks and loves to be outside. Gia would be a great first dog and would do fine in an apartment or a house. She is gentle towards everyone, including kids. Apply now to meet this darling girl!
Note: Gia is blind in the left eye from an old trauma but this doesn’t impact her getting around. She can do steps too. She is a very adaptable girl!

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information.  We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.

We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions.  We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
