She is a little bit shy but warms up quickly.  She wants to meet everyone we pass on our walks.  She is very smart, and she does let me know when she needs to go out.  London is good in the crate but would LOVE to sleep in the big bed.  She is energetic and loves to chase squirrels and play with her foster siblings, but her favorite thing is to lounge on the sofa, pressed up against my leg. She would do best in a home with another dog to keep her company or someone who can provide her with company and activities as she is a young terrier with lots of energy and curiosity. London is a barker. so apartments would not be a good fit - we are working on this.  She very, very affectionate . Plus, she is so stinking cute, she gets attention where ever we go - her pictures do not do her justice.   
 
Meet London, a 1 1/2 year old, 7 pound, Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix.  This sweet girl is a bit on the shy at first, but will then seek out your lap to snuggle and your face for kisses.  London is great with everyone, but due to her small size, is not recommended for a home with small children.  London enjoys playing and barking with other dogs.  She is house trained, as long as she knows where the door is.  When she needs to go out, she will either go to the door, or nudge you gently, to let you know she has to go out.  She sleeps through the night and prefers to sleep near her human.  London is looking for someone she can love and trust forever...could it be you?  London is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.

Dogs listed here come from different sources Some dog's owner have passed and their family could not care for their companion, some lifestyle has changed and a new home would be in the best interest of their companion. Some are foster dogs placed in our care by different rescue groups.  Each dog may have a different process for adopting animals and charge different adoption fees.

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information.  We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.

We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions.  We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
