Report from Abby’s foster daddy.

"Abby has been here for a few weeks now.  She has been one of three foster dogs, two foster dogs and even spent time as an only dog.  Abby is very, happy, social, playful, attentive, and affectionate.  She greets all people from infant to senior citizen with happy hello.  If you let her, she will smother you in kisses.  Abby likes all other dogs but when they are really big, she will bark a little to let them know she might be small but she will not put up with any bad behavior.  Abby loves to walk and walks well on a leash.  She takes regular walks between ¾ of a mile to 3 miles daily. Abby has been a welcome visitor at several of the local stores.  Abby will engage play with any dog.  Her favorite game is “chase me”.  She will pick-up or toy and play keep away.  She is fast and agile.  Abby also likes to just hang out on the back of the sofa and survey the back yard.  She also likes to curl up and snuggle with all of her foster family.  This happy well-adjusted dog would do well in most homes.  Please someone adopt her before I fall too far in love. Hal, foster daddy."

My name is Abby. I am believed to be a Pug/Chi mix, and am 11lbs and a little over a year old. I was turned in to a vet hospital in Pickens County SC, by someone who found me. I was microchipped, and my former "owner" was contacted by the animal hospital to come and claim me; But they didn't want me back as they said I would "run off when I was let outside unattended to potty". (Abby was found about three miles from her former home). So MMR took me into their care so I didn't have to go back to an over crowded shelter.

I am very, very, energetic & playful-I'm still a puppy at heart. I love other dogs & love to play with them and romp around. I would do best in a home where I can run around and burn off some of my puppy energy. A fenced in yard would be ideal, and a home with kids is fine too. I would also do best in a home with another young dog to play with. I am sweet & loving, and ready for the second chance I've been given.

My adoption fee is $350, which covers the cost of routine vetting, rabies and distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing, my microchip, monthly heartworm prevention, monthly flea/tick prevention, and any transport costs if applicable.
