He  is 11 months old and weighs around 26 pounds and this seems to be near his ideal body weight.  He is up-to-date with his vaccinations and neutered.  He is young, active and playful.  He is living with 2 other foster dogs and would do well with another canine companion.  He would not do well with young children. We do not know if he can live with cats.  Sheldon is an active, playful puppy with lots of energy.  He would do well with an active family.   Sheldon has been learning and doing better, however, he is still reactive on the leash to other people and animals until he meets them.  Ongoing training will be necessary as he grows out of puppy and into young adult.  He is eager to please and willing to learn.  This is a dog that you can shape and mold into the perfect lifetime companion.  It is both smart and intelligent.  Sheldon will be the perfect pet you can create.   He can live as long as another 18 years or more. WE RETURN IF THERE WILL BE AN ADOPTION WHEN EVERYONE IS PREPARED TO ADOPT.  WE ONLY TRAVEL UP TO A ONE HOUR DRIVE FROM ROCKVILLE MD TO PLACE ANIMALS.

Dogs listed here come from different sources Some dog's owner have passed and their family could not care for their companion, some lifestyle has changed and a new home would be in the best interest of their companion. Some are foster dogs placed in our care by different rescue groups.  Each dog may have a different process for adopting animals and charge different adoption fees.

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information.  We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.

We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions.  We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
