UPDATE 4/19/19!!

CHARLOTTE HAS BEEN PLACED IN NEW HOME.  WE KEEP HER PROFILE ACTIVE UNTIL WE MAKE SURE WE HAVE MADE A PERFECT MATCH.  WITH ALL THE QUESTIONS WE ASK, WITH ALL THE VERIFYING WE MAKE, WITH ALL THE REFERENCES WE TALK TO. WE INTRODUCED HER TO THE FAMILY ON 2 SEPARATE VISITS. WE FILL THIS IS THE PERFECT MATCH.  IF YOU HAVE AN APPLICATION PENDING WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO NOTIFY EVERYONE THAT APPLIED SHE HAS BEEN ADOPTED.

Charlotte was picked up as a stray by Montgomery County Animal Services. No one claimed her. Charlotte appears to be a one or two year old Standard Poodle mix maybe with Golden Retriever.. She is spayed, up-to-date with vaccinations.

Charlotte was turned over to Home At Last Sanctuary (HALS) by Montgomery County Animal Services after she was picked up as a stray.  She suffered horribly in the shelter environment so Animal Services felt it would be best for her to decompress in a home and not the shelter.  Charlotte has just arrived and is very scared. She is happy to be in a home and out of shelter.

She is mouthy and you not be good with children under 16. We will know more and post it here soon.

At this time we will be looking for a home with a FENCED yard adequate to confine a large active puppy.   At this time we are looking for a home with another large active properly matched other dog to engage and play with Charlotte.

Charlotte is a high-maintenance dog.  She requires regular brushing a professional grooming every 6 - 8 weeks at an average cost of $100 or more. 

WE ONLY PLACE DOGS WITHIN A ONE HOUR DRIVE FROM ROCKVILLE MD.

We take every dog we place to do a home visit and meet the family. We can only drive one hour.

Dogs listed here come from different sources Some dog's owner have passed and their family could not care for their companion, some lifestyle has changed and a new home would be in the best interest of their companion. Some are foster dogs placed in our care by different rescue groups.  Each dog may have a different process for adopting animals and charge different adoption fees.

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information.  We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.

We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions.  We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
