LACY HAS BEEN PLACED IN HER NEW HOME

WE ARE NOT TAKING ANY APPLICATIONS

  WE HAVE RECEIVED MANY APPLICATIONS ON LACY. IT IS LIKELY WE HAVE FOUND HER NEW LIFETIME FAMILY. Lacy is a 4 year old spayed female Golden / Chesapeake Retriever, 53 pounds, up to date with vaccinations and house trained. Lacy was purchased in PA (Puppy Mill Country) at a flea market for $50.  The dirt-bags that sold her was using a clothesline as a leash.  Lacy's ears were infected and  had black discharge and her ears were visibly swollen. If you bought a designer golden-doodle from PA in the last 3 years this could be your puppy's mother. Lacy was sent to an angel here in Rockville who took her to a local veterinarian, treated her ears and spayed her.  Lacy did not fit into their home.  They contacted Home At Last Sanctuary to see if she would fit into our Owner Surrender program.  HERE SHE IS. She is a timid girl and will require a quiet home. She walks well on leash and is ready to find the right person she can allow all the love bottled-up inside her out. She will be a gentle loyal lifetime companion when she finds her perfect home. Lacy's ideal home will be required to have a PHYSICAL fenced yard adequate to confine a 55 - 60 pound dog.  She is a cooper colored beauty.  She has ruffles and bows in her curly coat.  She looks like she is wearing lace all over.  Hence the name Lacy! Dogs listed here come from different sources Some dog's owner have passed and their family could not care for their companion, some lifestyle has changed and a new home would be in the best interest of their companion. Some are foster dogs placed in our care by different rescue groups.  Each dog may have a different process for adopting animals and charge different adoption fees.

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information.  We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.

We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions.  We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
