We have many applications. You will ONLY HEAR FROM US IF WE ARE CONSIDERING YOUR APPLICATION. YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN ONE HOUR OF ROCKVILLE MD NO EXCEPTIONS! Meet Ruby a spayed 6 year old female Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) weighs around 16 pounds. Unfortunately Ruby's family's life changes have made it necessary for them to find Ruby a new home. Ruby is a young active dog and should be with an active family willing to take daily walks. Her family should have time in their day to play and interact with her. Ruby has allergy testing in 2015 and was positive for 14 allergens commonly found in the environment. She as been on and will need to continue to receive subcutaneous allergy injections every 14 days. This is something her new family should be comfortable doing. Ruby has been working on her house-training. She is trained to go to the back door and ring a bell to go out. Now that she is more comfortable that we are there every time she asks she is going out less often. At this time we feel her family would have someone home during the day and she would not be left alone for more than 3 -4 hour at a time. Ruby is crate trained but a crate should not be used long term, She should be trained to be confined to a room or two when she is home alone in the future. Ruby is defiantly TERRIER and you should expect the tenacity that comes with that breed.

Some are foster dogs placed in our care by different rescue groups. Each dog may have a different process for adopting animals and charge different adoption fees.

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information. We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.
We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions. We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
