Dolly is around a year or year and a half she looks to be a Rat Terrier and is about 8 pounds.  

Overall she is a sweet dog. Very shy and timid for a while when she first meets someone but becomes your best buddy when she warms up. Loves to go for walks outside and sun bathe occasionally. Gets along with other animals well, has bonded pretty well with our cat since she has been here and is crate trained as well too. Still steps to go with potty training,  knows she is supposed to go outside but has trouble sometimes letting you know when it's time. Loves to play fetch and tug o war and loves a lap to curl up and cuddle on.

Dolly just arrived here today (8/9/18) and scheduled for spay tomorrow.  THANK YOU CARING HANDS ROCKVILLE FOR PROVIDING MEDICAL SERVICES https://caringhandsvet.com/locations/rockville/ She will then be up-to-date with everything.   Dolly was picked up as a stray in January or February.  She was found walking along RT 40 in Frederick.  She was taken to local shelter but when the current owner was told there is no guarantee she would be adopted and might be euthanized they refused to turn her into the shelter.  They took Dolly to their vet to make sure vaccinated and to get her spayed.  She went into heat and they had to wait.  The vet price for spay was too much and spay was not done at that time.

She is a sweet and affectionate little companion.  She live with another dog and a cat.  Owner is on SSI, has to move and cannot afford a place to live with Dolly

Some are foster dogs placed in our care by different rescue groups.  Each dog may have a different process for adopting animals and charge different adoption fees.

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information.  We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.

We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions.  We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
