Is one of your loved ones looking for a canine companion. Perfect for a senior couple or individual who lives a quiet life and wants an affectionate senior dog. Fred is you dog.

Fred needs a new home. Fred was adopted 10 years ago as a puppy and lived with his mom until recently. Fred’s mom had to move to a nursing facility and is unable to care for herself, and therefore, is no longer able to care for her beloved dog Her son has stepped up and taken in Fred. He works long hours and has to travel often for work so this is not an ideal situation for Fred.

Fred is a little overweight but healthy for his age. He does have corneal scarring and limited vision and needs some guidance with steps. Fred is a wonderful sweet quiet companion who is good on walks and loves to snuggle. He is a well-mannered, well-behaved Chihuahua who is neutered, house-trained, and up to date with vaccinations. He has lived in harmony with adults and cats.

You may be called by a volunteer, you may receive an email asking additional information or you may be requested to complete and Additional Information form. Please look our emails for further information. We are all volunteers so we will get to you as soon as we can.

We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. With our limited resources, applications outside of our immediate service area will not be accepted, no exceptions. We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
